Balm
Does it get rid of ring
marks and watermarks?
Yes, but we cannot guarantee it will remove all marks as
every mark is different and every finish is different. Put
the balm on a soft cotton cloth, like a cotton vest etc.,
and wipe the cloth in the direction of the grain not the mark,
if it doesn’t remove it the first time go back a week
later and try again, repeat this and after 2/3 months if the
mark is still there the only other recourse is to strip and
re-polish or re-wax the item, but then you will still need
the balm to feed and nourish the wood.
Can you wax or french polish
on top of the balm?
Yes, you can wax and put french polish on top of the balm.
By applying the balm on top of already waxed wood you have
the added benefit that you won’t have to wax as often
as the wax will go hard again when you apply the balm. If
you have wood “in the white” (with nothing on
it) you can apply the balm, let it soak in and put either
french polish or wax on top.
Will it work on wooden floors?
Yes, again apply in the direction of the grain and let it
soak in, if there is any residue then simply wipe away with
another soft cloth.
Can the balm be used on
garden furniture?
Yes, we didn’t think the balm would be used on garden
furniture but we are finding more and more people are using
it as it gives outdoor furniture the oils it needs and when
it rains you will find water globules collecting rather than
soaking into the wood.
Wlhat is the difference
between the Red top and Green Top?
The Red top is for dark woods i.e. Oak, Mahogany, Cherry,
etc. and the Green top is for light woods i.e. Pine, Yew,
Teak, etc. If you are worried which one to buy try the Green
top first as you can use this on both light and dark woods
and then you will know when you need the Red top.
How long will it last?
Unfortunetly for us along time !! If you apply the balm onto
a cotton cloth and keep this in a plastic bag when you are
not using it, the cloth will keep the oils on it and you can
use it again and again to clean and dust your wood and wooden
furniture.
What furniture can you use
the balm on?
Any furniture and wood in the home, wooden floors, kitchen
units, bathroom cabinets, oak beams, wooden doors, wooden
stairs and railings, tables, chairs, the list is endless.
The only time you notice an oily residue is when you put it
onto a french polished surface to clean and restore scratches
and it hasn’t soaked in, this is because it is an oil,
all you have to do is get another cloth and wipe the residue
away.
How do I apply the balm?
The best way is to apply the balm onto a soft cotton cloth
and wipe the cloth onto wood in the direction of the grain.
How do I get the cork out?
Put the bottle onto a flat surface and hold the bottle down,
grab the cork with the other hand and “wiggle”
it out.
How often do I apply the
balm?
Use your cloth with the balm on it as your weekly cleaner,
“duster”

Why would you
use the wax in preference to the Balm.
The wax gives your wood a long lasting shine and need only
be applied occasionally.
Can the Wax be used
in Conjunction with Balm
Yes, The Balm should be applied first, left to soak in the
wood and then the wax can be applied as instructed on jar.
However, The Balm can still be applied on top of the wax
as it will sink through into the wood and the wax will reseal.

How do I apply
it
The wax should be applied using a soft cotton cloth. Leave
to dry and then use another cloth to buff to get the shine.

No, The product is made from natural oils and ingredients. |
